Environment

Bed of Flowers is situated in a beautiful setting of a winding river dike, pastures and a forest reserve. It is an ideal environment for hikers and bikers since there is hardly any (car) traffic on the dike (other than from people who live locally). The wide natural areas between the actual river Waal the local name for the river Rhine) have many walking trails and along the river are many small beaches where you relax.

Also you can make trips to close by cities of Nijmegen (7km), Arnhem (20 km), Den Bosch (30km) or one of the many quaint villages which date back from many centuries ago and characterize the region of Waal & Maas.

For those who like sports there are plenty possibilities such as swimming public in- and outside swimming pools, lakes, play golf (two 18 holes courses at 5 and 20 km distance) and a horse riding (2km). There is also a wonderful large relax center and beauty with several saunas and thermal baths in Nijmegen: Sanadome.
